Zoe Brisco-Chaplin
Zoe Brisco-Chaplin finished high school as a National Merit Finalist and was chosen as one of the first Taylor Scholars at the University of New Orleans. After graduating from Southern University at New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science in biology, she obtained a lifetime teaching certificate in the areas of mathematics, biology, and chemistry.
Brisco-Chaplin has been a successful math and science educator for 21 years, teaching at Walter L. Cohen (4 years), O. Perry Walker (6 years), and Edna Karr (7 years). She has 12 years of experience curating her own math events and 14 years experience as a private tutor.
In 2006, Zoe founded Out the Box Educational Consultants which hosted events such as Math Battle, an interactive math competition for elementary and high school students. In 2016, Piece of Pi Tutoring and Educational Consulting Services was created to provide programs such as Brisco’s Boot Camp for ACT to help more students qualify for TOPS,and to develop curriculum that aligns ACT with state standards.
